Why Is LM386 in Short Supply?

LM386 is currently experiencing market shortage conditions. I am building my own audio amplifier for personal use (previously, I was working on it for study purposes). The result is great, the bass is good enough, but some songs tend to lose the vocal sound especially Let Down by Radiohead on reff. There's no vocal sounds from "You know, You know where you are with" to "Bouncing back in one day". I assume it's because I combine L and R channel into one input (if this the case I will buy more LM386 and BJT. Currently all of my LM386 is shorted so I don't Schontek Inc. can help source LM386 with verified supply channels - request a quote for current availability and pricing.
